The Jerusalemite, Hussein Al-Qunbar, self-demolished his house in the town of Silwan, by decision of the occupation municipality, to avoid paying fines.
Al-Qunbar explained that the municipality issued the final demolition decision on January 10, and gave him 21 days to implement the demolition decision.
Al-Qunbar added that he built the house in 2016, and a building fine of “32,000 shekels” was imposed on him. Over the past years, the courts continued “freezing and postponing the demolition,” until the final decision was issued, after the license permit was rejected.
