A Martyr and two settlers killed in a run-over operation in Jerusalem
A Palestinian man was martyred, and two settlers were killed and others were injured on Friday in a run-over operation on the street of the Ramot settlement, northwest of Jerusalem.
The Israeli police said in a statement that the operation took place at around 1:30 am, at a bus station, killing two and injuring five.
The police announced that the perpetrator of the attack was Hussein Khaled Qaraqe’, a resident of the village of Issawiya in Jerusalem.
Recordings showed that 3 settlers shot directly at the young man while he was inside his vehicle after he collided with the bus station, and some of them threw stones at him while opening the car door.
The forces, with their various teams, deployed at the site of the operation, closed it completely, and prevented access to it.
Senior officers and Minister of National Security Itamar bin Gavir arrived at the site of the operation and threatened to impose sanctions on the village of Issawiya and to set up checkpoints at its entrances.
The Prime Minister of the occupation government, Netanyahu, ordered the immediate closure and demolition of the house of the perpetrator of the attack.
Large forces stormed the village of Issawiya in the city of Jerusalem on Friday evening.
