A residential facility and a commercial one- ongoing demolitions in Jerusalem
Al-Sarkhi family continues to self-demolish their own house in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Al-Sarkhi family explained that the municipality had given it until Sunday to completely demolish the house, and in the event of non-implementation, the municipality's mechanisms and crews will do so, and the family must pay the "demolition costs."
The family added that two and a half years ago, they built a house for their son Qusai, and they were notified of the demolition decision and were able to freeze it and pay fines of 80,000 shekels. Before the month of Ramadan, the District Court issued a final decision to demolish the 70-square-meter house.
Qusai and his seven-month pregnant wife live in the house.
In the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, the municipality forced Fareed Abu Al-Dab’aat to demolish a car wash and vacate the land, under the pretext that it belongs to the "Custodian of Absentees' Property."
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that 8 demolitions have taken place in Jerusalem since the beginning of May, including a residential building consisting of 16 apartments.
