Arrests... releases... demolitions
Three Jerusalemite boys turned themselves in to the "Al-Damon" prison, while the police released two Jerusalemite youths on the condition of deportation, and the Ja’abis family self-demolished two of their apartments in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem explained that the boys Ahmed Nawaf Salaymeh, Mohammad Khalil Salaymeh and Mu’taz Khader Salaymeh, turned themselves in to Al-Damon prison, after spending two and a half months under house arrest, and the court sessions against them will continue until the verdict is issued.
The forces arrested the boys last May from the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in the town of Silwan, and then they were released on the condition of house arrest until the end of the legal procedures against them.
Release
The police released the young man Abed Izz Barbar, on the condition that he deported from the Old City of Jerusalem for two weeks, and house arrest for 5 days, and the young man Areen Za'aneen, on the condition that he be expelled from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 20 days and house arrest for a week.
The court also released the young man Amir Obeid, on the condition of house arrest for a week, and a cash bail of 2000 shekels, and expulsion from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prohibition from entering the West Bank and travelling. Obeid spent 35 days in the cells and was subjected to harsh investigations.
The information center explained that the young man Obeid is a “Tawjihi” student, and was arrested after taking his final exam. He was unable to celebrate the passing of the “Tawjihi” exams since he was detained at the time of the results.
The court extended the arrest of the young man Jadallah al-Ghoul until next Tuesday, and he was arrested from his home in the town of Silwan last week.
On the other hand, the police released the freed prisoner Abdallah al-Zaghal, after his arrest immediately upon his release after the end of his 18-month prison sentence, and the police conditioned him not to hold any celebrations in Jerusalem.
The police also arrested the two young men Omar Abulhawa and Nasim Abu Hadid.
Demolition and displacement
The occupation municipality forced Muammar Ja’abis and his son Mohammed to self-demolish their apartments in Jabal Al-Mukabber, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The family explained that over the past years they tried to obtain a construction permit, and the municipality imposed construction fines on them amounting to "300,000 shekels", until the final demolition order was issued.
The area of the building is 160 square meters, and 15 people live in it.
