Prison sentences…arrests…deportations

On Wednesday, the occupation courts issued prison sentences against young Jerusalemite men, while the forces carried out various arrests in the city, mostly against school students.

Mohammad Mahmoud, the lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that the court issued sentences against 3 Jerusalemites:

• Ayham Nasser; to actual imprisonment for 20 months, and compensation to the settler 6 thousand shekels.

• Mohammad Al-Haymouni; sentenced to actual imprisonment of 34 months.

• Muntaser Abu Nab; sentenced to actual imprisonment of 26 months.

On the other hand, the forces arrested one of the students of Al-Tur students, after the end of the school day.

Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation forces and Musta’ribeen individuals (undercover police) were deployed in the town of Al-Tur, and they stationed themselves near the schools at the end of the school day, and they also chased the students and fired rubber bullets.

A lawyer for Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, Siraj Abu Arafa, explained that the forces arrested the student Emad Abu Rammouz, and transferred him to the police station "Salah Al-Din Street” for investigation.

In the afternoon hours, the forces arrested the boy Malik Gharab, after breaking into his house in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem, as the lawyer Abu Arafa explained.

In the early hours of this morning, the forces arrested two students from the Damascus Gate area, while heading to their school.

The center's lawyer, Firas Al-Jabrini, explained that the forces arrested the two students Salah Eddin Barghouth and Abdul Rahman Al-Salaymeh, and after an investigation they were released, on the condition that they be kept away from the Damascus Gate area.

Today, the forces arrested the young man Anwar Abbasi, after breaking into the family home in the Ras Amoud neighborhood in Silwan.

The forces broke into the Abbasi house, to arrest Mohammad Samih, and because he was not home, they arrested his brother "Anwar", to force Mohammad to turn himself in.

During the past few hours, the Israeli authorities continued to issue deportation orders from Al-Aqsa: Samah Hamid was expelled for 4 months, Nawaf al-Salaymeh and Jamil al-Abbasi were expelled "for a week that can be renewed", and Alaa al-Sous was deported from the Old City of Jerusalem for 15 days.

The court also released the young man Alaa Najib on the condition of deportation from the Old City for 45 days.
