"The Day of Atonement" “Yom Kippur” ... Jerusalemites are imprisoned inside their homes…and Al-Aqsa is stormed
On Yom Kippur, the occupation authorities imposed their restrictions in the city of Jerusalem, closing streets and roads and allowing hundreds of settlers to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque amid strict measures for worshipers to enter it.
Since Sunday evening, the Israeli occupation authorities began closing the roads and streets in the city of Jerusalem, and placed concrete blocks, iron barriers, and red tapes at the entrances to the neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem and its streets, especially at the intersections of the roads leading to the settlements built on their lands and the nearby streets leading to them, and the scene of closures continued until Monday evening hours.
On Yom Kippur, Jerusalemites are forced to be imprisoned inside their homes, due to the difficulty of moving and the closing of the streets.
As for Al-Aqsa Mosque, 486 settlers broke into it on Monday, "351 during the morning period, and 135 during the afternoon period."
The settlers performed their prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation forces were also deployed in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the special forces accompanied the settlers during their invasion of Al-Aqsa through the “Dung Gate" until exiting Al-Aqsa through “Al-Silsileh Gate".
The occupation authorities imposed their restrictions on Muslims entering Al-Aqsa, barring some young men and women, and detaining identities before allowing the worshipers to enter.
