January 8, 2024

On the 94th day of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation”, the siege imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued, and the raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued.

Siege of Al-Aqsa

The occupation authorities continued to impose a blockade on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, by allowing a small number of worshipers to enter it, most of whom are elderly people and women, while preventing young people from entering it.

The forces continue to station themselves at the gates of Al-Aqsa, placing iron barriers, and all those arriving there are stopped.

The settlers’ raids on Al-Aqsa continued during the “morning and afternoon” raids, and 147 extremists carried out their raids on Al-Aqsa under the protection of the occupation forces, and they performed special prayers during the storming of the mosque.

The "alleged Temple groups" also continue their calls to carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa next Thursday, "the beginning of the Hebrew month," and to dedicate prayers there "to the soldiers and to memorialize the dead among them."

The occupation authorities continue to deploy through the streets of the Old City, stopping young men and women and examining their identities.

Jabal Al-Mukabber

The occupation authorities continue to impose their siege on the Al-Jdaira neighborhood in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, by placing cement cubes at its entrance, setting up a police checkpoint, stopping and searching vehicles, checking identities, and issuing violations.

They also stormed the neighborhood several times, and in the evening, confrontations broke out in the neighborhood, and the forces fired bombs and rubber bullets, assaulted a group of young men, and arrested two of them.

In the evening hours, forces stormed the village of Issawiya, while in the morning hours, joint police and municipal crews stormed several neighborhoods in the town of Silwan.
