Day 148: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
March 2, 2024

On the 148th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the Jerusalemite Nidal Alayan continued to self-demolish his building in the village of Issawiya, and the restrictions on worshipers' entry to Al-Aqsa continued.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem explained that the Jerusalemite Nidal Alayan continued to self-demolish his residential building, by decision of the municipality, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The building consists of two floors and includes 4 residential apartments.

On the other hand, the occupation authorities continued to impose their restrictions on worshipers' entry to Al-Aqsa, by stationing themselves at its gates, checking identities, and randomly preventing young men and women from entering Al-Aqsa.

Worshippers explained to the center that the forces stationed at Lions Gate- one of the gates of the Old City - prevented dozens of worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa to perform the Dawn prayer, and kept them away from the area.

The incursions into the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, the setting up of checkpoints in the streets of the city, and the handing out of summonses to the young men continued.

The Israeli authorities expelled the employee of the Department of Islamic Endowments, Mohammad Zain, from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for 3 months.
