April 4, 2024

On the 181st day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, targeting the tents of those performing I’tikaf and carrying out arrests from Al-Aqsa and its gates. The raids also continued into towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the raids on the tents of the worshippers and pursuing them began before dawn and continued around the clock, as the forces deployed among the tents of the worshippers and raided them and checked the identities of those inside them, in addition to searching the belongings and contents of the tents. The forces also pursued young men in Al-Aqsa squares and at its gates.

The Information Center’s lawyers explained that more than 22 arrests took place from Al-Aqsa Mosque and its gates, affecting women, children, and young men. The detention of most of the detainees was extended, while some of them were released on the condition that they be expelled from Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Tens of thousands of worshipers flocked to Al-Aqsa to perform prayers and participate in religious circles and religious lessons in the mosque, while forces continued to be stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa and on its roads.
