Day 195: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 195th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", dozens of settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa, with ongoing preparations for the “Jewish Passover,” while the raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued.
On Thursday, 155 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, and performed Passover prayers inside Al-Aqsa on the so-called “Ascension Day”.
Calls also continued from “alleged temple groups and organizations” to carry out massive incursions during Passover week, “which begins next week,” and they demanded offering sacrifices of “goats/ Capricorn” at Al-Aqsa on Sunday and Monday. They also offered a financial reward to whoever succeeds in offering sacrifices at Al-Aqsa, ranging from between 50 thousand and 200 thousand shekels, “depending on the place of slaughter.”
The forces stormed Shu’fat refugee camp, heavily fired gas bombs, and summoned the freed prisoner Yazan Al-Zalbani for investigation.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of Tarek Abbasi, for a period of 3 months.
The forces arrested the boy Fajr Abbasi from the Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in the town of Silwan, and after hours of investigation, they released him on the condition that he return for investigation next Sunday.
The forces arrested the university lecturer Dr. Nadira Shalhoub, on charges of "incitement and spreading inflammatory opinions."
Lawyer Alaa Mahajneh explained that the police extended the detention of his client, Dr. Shalhoub, to present her before the court tomorrow, Friday.
At Qalandia checkpoint, the forces arrested a young man after severely beating him.
