Day 354 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
September 24, 2024

On the 354th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", settlers continued their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, while occupation bulldozers bulldozed a street in Al-Sowaneh neighborhood, and forces stormed homes of freed prisoners in neighborhoods and towns of Jerusalem.

Al-Aqsa Mosque

269 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of occupation forces, through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

The settlers performed prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.

Bulldozing a "street"

The occupation bulldozers bulldozed a street in Al-Sowaneh neighborhood in Jerusalem, which was recently paved.

Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed Al-Sowaneh neighborhood and bulldozed the street.

Storming homes and confiscating vehicles, gold jewelry and money

The forces stormed homes of freed prisoners in several towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

The police said in a statement that they arrested 16 former prisoners from Jerusalem, and confiscated their money and vehicles, under the pretext of "obtaining them from the Palestinian Authority, in violation of the law, in support of terrorist acts." The statement called the campaign "combating economic terrorism."

Years ago, the Minister of Defense in the occupation government decided to "seize" the prisoners' money that was received from the Palestinian Authority, considering it "a reward and encouragement for operations and terrorism" - according to the decision - based on the so-called "Anti-Terrorism Law of 2016". According to the decision, the seizure of the prisoners' money or property is equal to the amount imposed on him, until the amount imposed on each prisoner is paid in full. The forces periodically raid the homes of prisoners and freed prisoners and confiscate their money, gold jewelry, vehicles and motorcycles, in addition to imposing a seizure on the bank accounts of the prisoner and his family.

The center learned that the forces carried out a search and destruction operation in the homes of released prisoners in Shu’fat, Al-Tur and Silwan.

On the other hand, the police released Sheikh Abdullah Alqam, on condition that he be deported from the city of Jerusalem, after arresting and interrogating him for several days on suspicion of "incitement".

Meanwhile, the police said they arrested a Jerusalemite pharmacist on the pretext of wearing the "Prophet's Ring" while working in Petah Tikva.

Before midnight, large forces stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp, and fired bombs and bullets randomly during the storming of the camp.

The raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued, and checkpoints were set up in the city's streets.
