Injuries and arrests in Silwan
The Musta'ribeen unit (undercover police) arrested a young man from the Ein Al-Lozeh neighborhood in the town of Silwan on Monday evening.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center-Jerusalem said that members of the Musta'ribeen unit stormed a commercial store in Silwan, assaulted a young man while he was inside the store, and then handcuffed him after pushing him to the ground.
After that, a force of "Border Guard" elements stormed the store, spread inside it, and arrested the young man amid a complete closure of the area.
The forces also fired tear gas bombs intensively around the commercial store.
The center said that the forces attacked a young man while he was inside his vehicle in the neighborhood, and smashed the windows.
One of the young men was injured by shrapnel from the sound bombs in his leg, while the owner of the vehicle was injured as a result of the assault and was taken to treatment.
Cases of suffocation were also recorded due to the intense and random firing of tear gas.
The forces also launched light bombs over the neighborhoods of Silwan.
