On Wednesday, Israeli municipality bulldozers demolished two homes and a warehouse in Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit, in the towns of Silwan, Jabal al-Mukabber, and Beit Hanina.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem explained that the demolitions affected homes and properties belonging to the Odeh, Shqeirat, and Totah families.

Jerusalem residents confirm that they face complex, lengthy, and costly procedures to obtain building permits from the occupation municipality. However, most applications are rejected, forcing them to build without a permit.

In detail, Israeli municipality bulldozers stormed the town of Silwan this morning and demolished a 50-square-meter home belonging to Ishaq Odeh, which included a room and its facilities.

The family explained that the home had been built for four years and was demolished with its entire contents while it was closed due to the family members being at work, without any prior warning.

The municipality also demolished a retaining wall surrounding the house.

Later, bulldozers moved to the village of Jabal al-Mukabber and demolished a warehouse belonging to the Shqeirat family, as part of a series of ongoing demolitions in the area.

In the town of Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem, occupation bulldozers demolished the home of Nour Totah, despite his appeal against the demolition order.

Totah said he learned of the demolition order yesterday and quickly filed a request with the court to freeze the decision. However, he was surprised today when bulldozers stormed his home and carried out the demolition while he waited for the court's response.

He noted that his home has been standing for five years, and he lives there with his family of five.
