Jerusalem - Arrests in Anata, and transforming “Ghaith Palace” into a field investigation center

After midnight, Israeli occupation forces launched a massive campaign of raids and arrests in the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem.

The forces stormed the town in large numbers and deployed along its streets and main intersections, before raiding residents' homes and vandalizing their contents.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces transformed the town's "Ghaith Palace" into a field investigation center, where they detained dozens of young men and boys and interrogated them inside the building.

Among those arrested, according to Jerusalem Governorate media, were identified as:

6. Zaid Ahmad Mahmoud Ibrahim

7. Waseem Ahmad Saleh Ibrahim

8. Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud Ibrahim

9. Amjad Hussein Ahmed Hilwa

10. Ahmed Hussein Ahmed Hilwa

11. Mahmoud Mohammed Hassan Halawa Al-Rifa’i

12. Muntaser Ibrahim Al-Yamni

13. Malek Ibrahim Al-Yamni

14. Ahmed Mohammed Hilwa

15. Eid Ayman Fathi Hamdan

16. Musa Mahmoud Mustafa Ibrahim

The governorate's media reported that these arrests are part of the occupation's ongoing policy in Jerusalem, which includes night raids, home raids, and the conversion of buildings into field investigation centers for the detention and interrogation of residents, in addition to the deliberate search and destruction of their homes.
