Demolition, bulldozing lands, and confiscation... Expulsion orders from Al-Aqsa Mosque
February 3, 2026

The Israeli municipality compelled Jerusalem resident Yasser Da’na to self-demolish his house in the Al-Sal’a neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabber.

The family stated they were pressured to demolish their home, which had provided shelter for seven years, to avoid additional fines from the Israeli municipality.

Da’na explained that he had spent years trying to get a building permit for the house, but the required conditions were prohibitive and almost impossible to satisfy. The process faced long delays and pauses in the demolition orders until a final demolition was finally issued. He mentioned that four people lived in the house.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces and municipal crews raided the village of Issawiya and conducted land clearance, confiscating several parked vehicles.

Recently, summonses to the al-Qishla police station in Jerusalem's Old City have persisted, mainly involving young men and women, especially those recently released from detention. They received orders prohibiting entry to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for one week, with instructions to return afterward, and the potential for the order to be extended.

According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem, Israeli intelligence is specifically targeting recently released prisoners by making phone calls and conducting raids on their homes.
