A wedding hall in Issawiya was raided and searched under the pretext of a shooting incident
Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Masri Hall in the Issawiya neighborhood of East Jerusalem on Friday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses reported to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the forces encircled the hall before storming inside to search the premises and the surrounding area, asserting that gunfire took place during an engagement party.
The witnesses stated that the forces stayed at the scene for an hour and a half, conducting thorough searches and establishing a full siege on the hall, while firing tear gas canisters extensively.
The forces prevented anyone from leaving the hall during the searches.
They noted that children were terrified by the raid, and tension was high inside the hall. Several people suffered suffocation from tear gas inhalation.
