Funeral of Martyr Anwar Salaymeh after detaining his body for a week
Hundreds of Palestinians participated in the funeral of 22-year old Martyr Anwar Falah Salaymeh in the cemetery of Anata after the occupation authorities detained his body for one week.
Salaymeh passed away after the occupation opened fire towards his vehicle last Wednesday in the village of Al-Ram under the pretext of attempting to run-over soldiers in the area. He was with two of his friends, Fares Risheq and Mohammad Nassar, who denied the charges against them after they were arrested and interrogated. They confirmed that they were on their way to the bakery in the village and were surrounded by Israeli soldiers who surprisingly opened fire towards their vehicle for no reason. The occupation intelligence decided to detain the body of Martyr Salaymeh to conduct an autopsy on his body and the family agreed on condition of the presence of Palestinians doctor; pictures showed Martyr Salaymeh injured with three bullets.
Salaymeh family received the body of their son from Abu Kbeir Institute in Jaffa after the occupation authorities refused to release him near Betonia checkpoint west of Ramallah and asked them to head to the institute.
Hundreds of young man participated in the funeral of Salaymeh and raised Palestinians flags and banners of Fateh movement in the streets of Shu’fat refugee camp before burying him in the cemetery of the village of Anata; they chanted slogans supporting the Martyr and Al-Aqsa.
The occupation authorities issued a statement last Wednesday and accused the young men of attempting to carry a run-over attack against borders control individuals in the village of Al-Ram; the soldiers opened fire towards the vehicle. The authorities unconditionally released Risheq and Nassar after detaining and interrogating them for one day which reveals the false claims of the occupation soldiers.
The three young men were surprised when the soldiers opened fire towards their vehicle before they were surrounded as shot continued to be fired towards them resulting in the Martyrdom of Salaymeh and injury of Risheq who was later arrested with Nassar.
