The occupation authorities decide to ban burying in parts of Al-Rahmeh Gate Cemetery
December 18, 2016

The Nature and Parks Authority along with occupation forces put up signs on “Al-Rahmeh Gate Cemetery that is adjacent to Al-Aqsa Mosque” banning burying in parts of it under the pretext of being “National Parks”.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that Nature and parks Authority’s employees raided Al-Rahmeh Gate Cemetery on Sunday morning and put up sings in various parts of the cemetery banning burying.

The signs said in both Arabic and Hebrew “National Park around the walls of Jerusalem…open public area…no soliciting…burying is prohibited in the area”. This new assault comes only days after preventing a Jerusalemite family from burying a deceased woman in Al-Rahmeh Gate Cemetery, and demolishing several graves earlier.
