September 26, 2017

The occupation’s bulldozers demolished on Monday morning agricultural establishments and walls in the villages of Esawyeh and Al-Tur in Jerusalem.

Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the bulldozers demolished the farm of Abdel Naser Mheisen and its facilities (barracks, walls, gates, chicken coop and construction equipment); they also seized constructions equipments and prevented the farm’s owner from taking them.

Abu Hummos added that the bulldozers swept a land owned by Saleh Abu Turk and removed planted trees. The occupation had demolished the house of Abu Turk at the beginning of the current year and displaced his family members.

Abu Hummos also added that the bulldozers demolished a farm owned by Mustafa family, swept the land and demolished surrounding walls and a container. They also placed a paper requesting the owner of the farm to follow up with the Israeli authorities.

Abu Hummos said the demolition and sweeping operation took place in the southeastern part of the village that is also at risk of being seized in favor of the “National Park”. It is noteworthy that the owners of agricultural establishments in the area have been trying to obtain permits for their establishments.

Crews from the Nature and Parks authority, Ministry of Interior and occupation municipality supervised the random demolition and sweeping operation in the village.

Municipality crews and Ministry of Interior employees also raided the area on Sunday and placed requests for the owners to follow up with Israeli authorities.

The occupation bulldozers demolished walls owned by Tayeh family in the village of Al-Tur and swept the area around them as explained by Abu Hummos.

In a related matter, municipality crews along with occupation police raided the village of Silwan and delivered demolition notices and requests to follow-up with the municipality under the pretext of building without a permit.
