Pictures- The injury of Nitham Abu Rammouz with wounds and bruises
On Thursday, the 37-year old Jerusalemite Nitham Abu Rammouz suffered multiple wounds and bruises after being assaulted and severely beaten while being detained in Lions Gate police station near Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation forces stationed near Lions Gate- one of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates- arrested Nitham Abu Rammouz upon his arrival to the area, and banned him from entering Al-Aqsa. He was taken to Lions Gate police station.
Abu Rammouz said: “I was arrested for no reason, and the soldiers took me to a nearby police station. After entering the station, the soldiers started beating me for no reason while I was handcuffed. Despite suffering multiple injuries and not being able to move or walk, they transferred me to Al-Qishleh police station, and then to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital”.
He said that he remained under arrested until night time, and explained that he was injured in the face and required 8 stitches; he also suffered other cuts around his eye.
Abu Rammouz said the occupation police released him after handing him a summon for interrogation for the next day.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces had prevented Nitham Abu Rammouz from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for 3 years after listing his name in the so-called “Black List” which includes the names of dozens of Palestinians that are banned from entering Al-Aqsa especially during the settlers’ incursions.
