A Jerusalemite continues to self-demolish his house
On Monday, the Jerusalemite Mohammad Salaymeh continued to self-demolish his house in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit.
Salaymeh explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center / Silwan, that the municipal crews accompanied by occupation police raided his house several times, and demanded him to continue demolishing the rest of the house, claiming that what he had demolished earlier this week is not enough.
Salaymeh said that last Saturday he demolished parts of his house, which is under construction, after the municipality issued an administrative demolition order. He was surprised today by the storming of the house and demanding that he demolish it completely immediately, otherwise the municipality will demolish it tomorrow.
Salaymeh explained that his lawyer managed to postpone the demolition for next Thursday morning, on condition that he paysNIS 10 thousand, and was forced to carry out the demolition immediately by a bulldozer.
He also said that last Saturday he demolished the house with hand-demolition tools, while on Monday evening he demolished it using a bulldozer, causing damage to the building, as his house is located on the third floor of a residential building.
