The occupation forces arrest two of Al-Aqsa Mosque's guards, and confiscate dozens of food parcels
The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Sunday afternoon two of Al-Aqsa Mosque's guards, and confiscated dozens of food parcels intended for poor families in Jerusalem.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center learned that the Israeli police arrested two of Al-Aqsa guards, Sa'id Salayma and Samir Al-Yemen, and turned them in for investigation. On the other hand, the occupation authorities confiscated dozens of food parcels from a campaign launched to help the poor families in Jerusalem.
The information center explained that the Israeli police detained the packages for several hours in the area of Al-Musrara and prevented distribution as planned, and then confiscated them.
The police arrested activist Nasser Qos, Sajid Al-Salaymeh and Nayaz Al-Salaymeh, during the preparation for the distribution of food parcels. After his release, Qos explained that the police claim that the parcels are funded by the Palestinian Authority and are illegal. He stressed that the food parcels is part of a campaign from the Jerusalem Waqf fund, which was to be distributed to poor families in the Old City
