Day 135: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 135th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation government held a session "to discuss the entry of Palestinians into the Al-Aqsa Mosque" during the month of Ramadan, amidst the continued imposition of restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and the occupation authorities also closed the home of the martyr Fadi Jamjoum in the Shu’fat refugee camp.
Al-Aqsa Mosque and Ramadan
The Israeli government held a deliberation session chaired by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and with the participation of the Minister of National Security, and the Minister of Security, after warnings from the Shin Bet on imposing restrictions on worshipers entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.
Israeli media said that Netanyahu accepted the recommendation of the police and the Minister of National Security, Itmar Ben Gavir, to restrict the entry of Palestinians from the Palestinian 1948 lands and occupied Jerusalem to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The media explained that no final decision has been made regarding the number of worshipers and the restrictions that will be imposed on the various age groups in this regard.
Minister Ben Gavir also emphasizes his opposition to allowing Palestinians from the West Bank to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan.
And this comes, in light of the continued imposition of restrictions on worshipers entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the fourth month in a row; where iron fences are erected, worshipers are randomly prevented from entering Al-Aqsa, and visitors are subject to stopping, identity checks, and body searches, especially for young men.
The settlers' incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque also continued, and 135 settlers carried out their incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.
Closing the house of the martyr Fadi Jamjoum
The Israeli occupation authorities closed the home of the Jerusalemite martyr Fadi Jamjoum, in the Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem, by a decision of the commander of the Home Front, and the Israeli authorities posted the "confiscation and temporary closure for 10 days" order on the door of the house.
The Israeli forces, accompanied by the engineering teams, stormed the Martyr Jamjoum's house with the ladders and the special equipment, then took the area and measurements of the house and its surroundings and inspected the walls, then closed the windows and the door with boards.
The house of the martyr Jamjoum is located on the eighth floor of a residential building, where the martyr's wife and his 4 children live, "the oldest is 12 years old and the youngest is a year and a half".
Eyewitnesses explained that the forces surrounded the vicinity of the martyr's building, and ascended the high roofs, and also broke into the residential apartment opposite the martyr's house, and detained its members "mother and her children" inside a room, and there was a force inside the house.
The witnesses explained that the forces broke into the martyr's house, and the family was given a few minutes to empty some of the contents of the house.
Martyr Jamjoum was killed last Friday after carrying out a shooting operation in the "Kiryat Malachi" area.
During the process of breaking into and closing the martyr's house, violent confrontations broke out in the Shu’fat refugee camp, and were renewed in the evening hours.
Raids
The raids into the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued, where the forces raided the house of the Abu Mayaleh family in the Abbasyeh neighborhood in the town of Silwan, and imposed several fines on it randomly, and the young man Moayed Abu Mayaleh explained that teams from the "police, municipality and tax" broke into the house and took its measurements and inspected it.
He added that the forces imposed random fines on the family, where one of them threw the garbage and smashed a picture frame in the yard of the house and issued them a fine under the pretext of "the presence of garbage and the lack of cleaning".
He added that the forces revoked the license of his brother's vehicle, which is parked inside the house's parking lot.
In the village of Jabal al-Mukabber, the forces raided neighborhoods in the village, and stormed several houses, issuing random fines to the residents and revoking vehicle licenses.
On the other hand, the Israeli authorities renewed for the second time in a row, the administrative detention of the young man Iyad Shalabi for three months.
The Intelligence Service summoned Hussein Issa for investigation, hours after his release, after spending 15 months in prison.
