Day 157: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 157th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", tens of thousands of worshipers performed the Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa, while the restrictions imposed on worshipers' entry to the mosque continued, and hundreds of settlers carried out their incursion into Al-Aqsa, and the raids into the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.
The Taraweeh prayer amid police deployment
35,000 worshippers performed the Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, amidst the presence and deployment of police at all the gates of Al-Aqsa and the Old City and its roads.
The center quoted the worshipers as saying that the forces eased the restrictions placed on the worshipers' entry to Al-Aqsa, and enabled the young men and women to enter to pray, "in contrast to yesterday's first night of Taraweeh, when all the young men, young women and some women were prevented from entering and praying and they were assaulted with beating and pushing.”
The worshipers explained that the police deployed in large numbers at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the Old City, and stopped a small number of worshipers and prevented them from entering Al-Aqsa.
Also, those expelled and prohibited from entering al-Aqsa performed the prayer on the thresholds of the mosque, especially at the Mujahideen road between Lions Gate and Hutta Gate.
Continuous incursions
275 settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, at the "beginning of the Hebrew month", and the settlers led the special prayers for this day, and it should be noted that the settlers' incursions into Al-Aqsa in Ramadan are during only one period "the morning period from 7-11 a.m.”
Clashes in Shu’fat refugee camp
Clashes broke out at the Shu’fat refugee camp checkpoint, and the forces dropped gas bombs heavily in the streets of the camp.
