Israeli occupation authorities persist in their almost daily arrest campaigns against Palestinians with West Bank IDs, claiming they entered Jerusalem without permits. This initiative is part of a wider attempt to impose stricter restrictions and persecute Palestinian workers and residents across different areas of the West Bank.
Over the last two days, occupation forces detained 18 Palestinians in Sur Baher. Israeli police also reported the arrest of 30 Palestinians at a construction site in the Neve Yaakov settlement in Jerusalem, allegedly for entering the city without permits. Additionally, one individual was detained on suspicion of helping and transporting the Palestinians.
This persecution extends beyond arrests; Palestinians are almost daily chased in Jerusalem's neighborhoods, towns, and entrances, occasionally being shot at during these pursuits. This intensifies the ongoing restrictions and further endangers their lives and safety.
