March 12, 2024

On the 158th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", a child from the Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem was martyred, while a hearing was held in the "Supreme Court" to consider the evacuation of 3 families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and tens of thousands of worshipers performed the Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa, and the settlers' incursions into the mosque continued.

Martyr in Shu’fat refugee camp

The 15-year-old Rami Hamdan al-Halhouli was shot by the Israeli occupation forces in Shu’fat refugee camp in the city of Jerusalem, and his body was taken into custody.

A sniper from inside the "observation tower" on the separation wall in Shu’fat camp targeted the child Rami and wounded him in the chest area.

The Red Crescent said in an initial statement that its crews dealt with a live bullet injury in the chest area, and described it as very serious.

The Israeli police announced in a statement that the child had been arrested and transferred for treatment, and claimed that he was shot because he "set off the firecrackers and posed a danger to the soldiers."

The recordings showed that the boy was targeted from an "observation tower" at a long distance from his location and there was no presence of the forces at the scene of the injury.

About an hour after the injury, Hadassah Issawiya Hospital announced that the child had passed away.

The police were present at Hadassah Hospital, and at the emergency entrance.

In his comment on what happened, Itamar bin Gavir, the Minister of National Security in the occupation government, said: "Praise the action of the soldier who shot the boy... this is what must be done."

A session in the Supreme Court for 3 houses in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood

A session was held in the Israeli Supreme Court to consider the appeal filed by 3 families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem "Al-Dajani, Hamad, Al-Dawoudi", to evict them from their homes for the benefit of the settlers.

The judges listened to the claims of the family's defense team, and the lawyers of the "Nakhlat Shimon" association, which demanded the evacuation of the families and the rejection of the appeal.

Al-Aqsa Mosque…filled with worshippers

Tens of thousands of worshipers from various age groups and the region, were able to enter and perform the "Ishaa and Taraweeh" prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, after a ban and prohibition that lasted for 5 months.

The number of worshipers in the Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers was 35 thousand.

The Israeli forces were deployed and stationed at all the gates of Al-Aqsa and Old City of Jerusalem, and placed the iron fences on the roads and at the gates, and some of the worshippers were stopped and some of them were assaulted by pushing and beating, throughout the hours of the day.

The settlers' incursions into Al-Aqsa continued through the Dung Gate, whose keys were controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem, and 91 extremists carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa.

Raids

The Israeli occupation authorities continued their incursions into the towns and neighborhoods and set up police checkpoints in the streets of the city.

The occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of Sultan Ashour, from the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood, and Hammam al-Husseini, from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, for 4 months.

Today, the police released Al-Aqsa Mosque guard Khalil Al-Tarhouni, on the condition of expulsion from Al-Aqsa, and paying a bail of 750 shekels.
