Day 236 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation

On the 236th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation municipality carried out a demolition of a house in the town of Silwan, and carried out various arrests in the city of Jerusalem, and settlers’ raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued.

Demolishing a house

The occupation municipality crews, accompanied by forces, stormed a residential apartment belonging to the Mahmoud Adila, in the Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in the town of Silwan.

Adila explained that municipal crews carried out the demolition operation using manual demolition tools, pointing out that several months ago he demolished parts of the house by decision of the municipality, and today he was surprised by storming the house and carrying out the demolition of what remained of his house.

Adila explained that the house was built two years ago, and he and his wife lived in it.

During the last days, the municipality demolished 5 residential and commercial facilities, and forced residents to self-demolish 4 residential and commercial facilities.

Al-Aqsa...continuous incursions

Settlers' incursions into Al-Aqsa continued, and 122 extremists carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa, through the Dung Gate, the keys of which have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

Raids and arrests

The forces continued to storm towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, and carried out separate arrests from Issawiya, Silwan, Al-Tur, and Shu’fat refugee camp.

Lawyers for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the forces arrested the boy Zaid Al-Bilbeisi at dawn after storming his house in Al-Tur, and summoned his brother Saeed for investigation because he was not at home, and extended their detention until next Sunday.

They added that in the village of Issawiya, the forces arrested 3 children “aged between 12-13 years” and transferred them for investigation at the “Salah Al-Din Street” police station.

In Silwan, the forces arrested Mahdi Khdour and Adam Zaytoun.

Siraj Abu Arafa, the lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that the young man, Khdour, suffered bruises, severe swelling in his face, and pain, after he was severely beaten during arrest, and he was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment and undergo the necessary examinations.

At the gates of Al-Aqsa, the forces arrested a young woman, interrogated her on field, and forcibly prevented her from entering Al-Aqsa.

In Shu’fat refugee camp, forces stormed the camp after midnight and arrested a young woman and a young man.

The court issued an actual prison sentence against the young man, Zaid Abu Qweider, for a period of 7 months.
