A stabbing attack inside a hotel in West Jerusalem, with the perpetrator and others arrested, and his home in the Shu’fat refugee camp raided
Israeli occupation forces arrested Mohammed al-Dab'i (Shawamreh) on Friday afternoon on suspicion of carrying out a stabbing attack in a hotel in West Jerusalem.
Police said the stabbing resulted in two injuries: the first, a 50-year-old man, was seriously injured, and the second, a 23-year-old man, was in moderate condition.
Police added that the perpetrator was a 42-year-old man from the Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem. They also arrested three other young men from inside the hotel on suspicion of having links to him.
Israeli occupation forces closed off the hotel and its surrounding area for more than two hours while they investigated the incident.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces, in large numbers and with various forces, raided the Shu’fat refugee camp and raided the home of the perpetrator of the stabbing attack after surrounding it and deploying forces around it.
During the raid, a young man was shot in the neck. Eyewitnesses reported that the forces randomly fired sound bombs, tear gas, live bullets, and rubber bullets, injuring him and causing several others to suffocate.
An eyewitness said the bullet penetrated the vehicle's windshield, then the driver's seat and back seat, before shattering the rear window. The young man was shot twice in the neck and back and was taken for treatment.
