Pictures: 115 settlers break into Al-Aqsa Mosque
On the first day of the Jewish Passover holiday, 115 settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection by the occupation Special Forces. The Israeli police arrested two young Jerusalemite men from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and transferred them to the interrogation center.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that groups of settlers consisting of 20-27 extremists broke into Al-Aqsa courtyards through Dung Gate in the form of consecutive groups and were heavily protected by Special Forces. Some extremists attempted to practice their religious ritual inside the courtyards especially in the area of Al-Rahmeh Gate.
Witnesses explained to the center that Al-Aqsa guards confronted the settlers who attempted to practice their religious rituals resulting in verbal altercations and clashes using hands with the forces.
Witnesses also added that the forces arrested two young men from Al-Aqsa courtyards during the settlers’ break-ins.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli forces were deployed in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque since the morning hours.
