The occupation forces arrested on Tuesday afternoon 18-year old Izz Barbar after stopping him at Al-Mahdadeh checkpoint in Ras Al-Amoud, Silwan.

Prison sentences

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli judges sentenced on Tuesday several Jerusalemites, they are:

  • Mohammad Jamal Mahmoud: Actual imprisonment for 11 months and a suspended probation of 8 months for three years.
  • Ammar Hadreh: Actual imprisonment for 6 months and one day on charges of incitement on Facebook and a suspended probation of 6 months for three years.
  • Mohammad Suleiman: Actual imprisonment for 5 months, a 4-thousand NIS fine and a suspended probation of 4 months. 

Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge extended the arrest of Daoud Abu Sbitan until 14/11/2016, Ahmad Shatat and Mousa Dab’ee until 6/12/2016 (conduct officer’s report); Ihab Sroor, Adham Ja’abees, Yazan Harafsheh and Shadi Atyeh until 18/11/2016; Mahmoud Obeid, Mutasem Obeid and Tarek Obeid until 17/11/2016, Ahmad Rabay’a until 8/12/2016 and Hamzeh Melhes until 20/11/2016.

Releases…isolations from Al-Aqsa Mosque

The judge decided to release the children Ahmad Zidani and Mohammad Sarhan with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 14 days for each; they are allowed to go to school. Amir Karaki was also released unconditionally while Ayham Harafsheh was released with a third-party bail. 

The judge also decided to release Amjad Abu Sbeih on conditions of a 3-thousand NIS bail, a third-party bail of 10 thousand NIS, house-arrest for 10 days and isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 45 days.
