Extending the arrest of a Jerusalemite woman…sentencing a Jerusalemite Member of Parliament

The occupation police extended the arrest of a Jerusalemite woman under the pretext of attempting to carry out a run-over attack at Qalandia checkpoint north of Jerusalem.

The police also extended the arrest of 12-year old Mohammad Atallah Al-A’war for 24 hours; he was arrested while he was on his way home after finishing school.

Prison sentences

In a related matter, Ofar Court sentenced the 65-year old Mohammad Abu Ter who is a Member of the Legislative Council for 17 months of actual imprisonment in addition to an 8-thousand NIS fine and a suspended probation for 30 months; Abu Ter had spent 11 months in prison and is deported from the city of Jerusalem.

On the other hand, lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge ordered Ahmad Mahmoud (minor) to pay a 10-thousand NIS fine, and imposed a 3600-NIS fine on Adham Obeidat. He also imposed house-arrest on them and a suspended probation of 4 months for three years.

Extending the arrest of young men

The judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Abu Khdeir until 4/1/2017, Yehya Abu Khdeir until 30/1/2017, Ahmad Abu A’bed until 24/1/2017 and Dalal Abulhawa until 29/1/2017.

Extending the arrest of minors

The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Isho until 4/1/2017, Shadi Atyeh until 15/2/2017, Mohammad Abed and Abed Dari until 15/3/2015, Omar Za’aneen until 27/2/2017 and Ibrahim Zghayyar until 29/1/2017.
