Occupation forces assault and arrest 4 young Jerusalemite men from Silwan
The occupation forces arrested on Wednesday four Jerusalemites from Silwan after assaulting and severely beating them while they were on their way to work in the city of Tel Aviv.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces arrested Mohammad Atef Masri (23), Mahmoud Atef Masri (25), Ala’ Eddin Amro (31) and Baha’ Amro (35). They are from the neighborhoods of Ras Al-Amoud and Al-Thori in Silwan; the young men were assaulted and suffered multiple bruises.
The young men explained they were on their way to work in Tel Aviv when they were blocked by a police vehicle which was following them and was flashing its lights for them. The vehicle then passed them and they were surprised by an “Intelligence” vehicle stopping them, checking their IDs and verbally insulting them. Intelligence personnel forced the young men to leave their vehicle and then assaulted them.
The young men added that they called the police and tried to film the assault they were subject to but the Intelligence personnel beat them and sprayed them with pepper spray and seized their cell phones. Upon arrival to the police station, they were assaulted once again and they were handcuffed and transferred to Bet Shemesh police station where they were interrogated for 8 hours.
