In Absentia –Extending the Detention of Ms. Jihan Hashima till next Thursday
On Friday, the Israeli Magistrate's Court extended the detention of Ms. Jihan Mohammad Hashima, age 35, till next Thursday; she is a resident of the village of Al Issawiya.
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained to Wadi Hilweh- Silwan Information Center that a trial in absentia was held for Ms. Jihan Mohammad Hashima who was shot at Qalandia checkpoint Friday morning suspicion of possessing a knife; her detention has been extended till next Thursday.
Lawyer Mahmoud added that Hashima underwent surgery in Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital, after being struck by three bullets in the leg and she is in stable condition.
