Arresting 6 of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards…deportations from Al-Aqsa and the Old City of Jerusalem for 60 days
The occupation forces arrested on Monday 4 of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards while an Israeli Archaeologist attempted to steal stones from Al-Aqsa while breaking into its courtyards.
Firas Dibs, head of public relations and media at the Islamic Awqaf department, explained that the occupation forces arrested Louai Abu Sa’ed and Salman Abu Mayaleh from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and also arrested Hamzeh Nimer and Arafat Najib while they were exiting Al-Aqsa.
Al-Aqsa guards, Ahed Joudeh and Mohannad Idris turned themselves-in on Monday afternoon to Al-Silsileh Gate police station after they were requested for interrogation.
Dibs added that the police assaulted the guards near Al-Majles Gate, pushed and beat them.
Dibs also said that an Israeli Archaeologist attempted to steal stones from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during a tour but the guards confronted him. After leaving Al-Aqsa, he broke in again and tried to storm into Al-Marawani Chapel but was confronted by the guards again.
On the other hand, the occupation authorities decided to deport 6 young Jerusalemite men and two children from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of Jerusalem for 60 days.
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the judge decided to release Mohammad Shalabi, Amir Bilbeisi, Ala’ Eddin Natsheh, Mohammad Abu Shousheh, Abdel Raheem Barbar and Hamzeh Melhes on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 6- days.
The judge also decided to deport the children Issa Ja’bari and Yazan Ja’bari from the Old City of Jerusalem for 60 days.
