Arrests…prison sentences…extensions of arrest

The occupation forces arrested on Monday night Izz Eddin Abu Sbeih, Martyr Musbah’s son, after stopping a vehicle he was riding in with a group of other young men in Hizma road.

On the other hand, lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud said the judge sentenced Jihad Ameera for 8 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 5 months for 3 years on charges of incitement on Facebook.

The judge extended the arrest of the Jerusalemite activist Yassin Sbeih until 19/5/2017; a prosecutor’s permit was submitted to file an indictment against him.

The District judge approved the prosecution’s request to keep 14-year old Mus’ab Mheisen outside the village of Esawyeh. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the prosecution submitted an indictment against the injured child including charges of being present in areas of clashes; Mheisen was shot last month by a sniper in the village.

The judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Najib, Abdullah Joulani, Muheeb Qutob and Ala’ Najib until 18/5/2017 and approved the 3-month administrative arrest imposed on Majd Darwish. The judge also extended the arrest of Shadi Halseh, Mohamamd Joulani and Mohammad Bakri until 18/5/2017, Ahmad Sa’eedeh until 17/5/2017 and Walid Obeid until 9/6/2017.

The judge also decided to extend the arrest of Kifah Da’na until 16/5/2017; he was arrested following the stabbing attack carried out by the Jordanian Martyr Mohammad Kasji under the pretext of not helping to prevent the stabbing of a policeman as his stall was placed near the location of the stabbing incident.

The occupation authorities released Mo’men Gheith on condition of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 180 days.

The judge also extended the arrest of Mufeed Sarandah and Mohammad Mheisen until completing the legal procedures against them, and the judge kept the house-arrest imposed on both children.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the judge sentenced Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh for 32 months of actual imprisonment.
