On Tuesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces prevented a sit-in in Salah Al-Din Street in Jerusalem, condemning the arrest of the governor of Jerusalem and Fateh cadres in the city.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the Israeli occupation forces prevented a youth demonstration in Salah Al-Din Street and forcibly removed the participants as they chanted slogans condemning the arrests conducted in the city.

The center added that the soldiers chased the youths from one street to another and checked their personal identities. They arrested Mohammad Abu Hummus, member of the follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, Yasser Darwish, secretary of Fatah movement in Jerusalem, and activist Ahed Risheq and transferred them for interrogation at Salah Al-Din Street police station.

The center added that the Israeli police decided to release the activists on condition that they be removed from Salah Al-Din Street, Damascus Gate and Sultan Suleiman Street for two weeks and to attend a hearing session in the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
