Details - What happened in Sheikh Jarrah... storming a school and arresting two students...injuring a settler

On Wednesday, the occupation forces stormed the Al-Rawda Modern School in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, and arrested its principal, one of the teachers, and two sister students from the tenth and ninth grades.

The occupation police said in a statement that they arrested the suspect in the stabbing attack of a settler in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of the city, from inside the school.

The police added that a settler was stabbed in the early morning hours in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and described her injuries as “minor”.

Following the stabbing attack, the occupation forces deployed in large numbers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and closed some of its entrances and main streets, during which they began to randomly search vehicles and buses, then stormed the Al-Rawda Modern School in the neighborhood and closed its surroundings with red tapes and prevented entry to it.

The school explained that the police stormed the school in the morning, and after an initial inspection of the classrooms, a squad of intelligence forces stormed the school and demanded that the students be gathered in the yard, and then proceeded to search some of them, focusing in particular on shoes.

The school added that the forces searched all the school's rooms, "the classroom, the administration, the teachers' room, the library, the computer lab, and others." They also searched the bags of some teachers, and searched the ceilings of the school, especially the main corridor and the computer room, broke the library door, and searched the lockers.

The teacher, Lubna Abdeen, said that the students fell into a state of fear and panic, during the sudden intrusion and random search, pointing out that the school enrolls students from kindergarten to 12th grades.

The center learned that the occupation forces arrested the mother of the two students after storming her house, and summoned their father for interrogation.
