A tight siege, arrests, injuries, and preventing prayers at Al-Aqsa on the "Hebrew New Year’s Day”
On Monday, the occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings, on the "Hebrew New Year's Day", and dozens of worshipers were injured and arrested during a crackdown that continued from dawn until three in the afternoon.
Since dawn, the forces began preventing worshipers from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and at the Lions Gate, Damascus Gate, and Herods Gate, they prevented worshippers from entering the Old City, and assaulted them by pushing them until they were several meters away from the city walls, forcing them to perform the dawn prayer in the streets of Jerusalem.
In the early morning hours, and before the time of the morning incursions, the officers and intelligence, accompanied by the occupation forces, stormedAl-Aqsa and were spread in teams in the various courtyards of the mosque, especially along the path of the settlers’ incursions.
The forces also attacked those present in Al-Aqsaseveral times, by beating or pushing them to remove them from several areas, in addition to carrying out arrests or expelling young men from Al-Aqsa.
On Monday, 335 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque (264 during the morning period, 71 during the afternoon period), amid chants of God is Great by the worshipers at Al-Aqsa.
At the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside, “Al-Silsilah, Hutta, and Lions gates,” the forces attacked the worshipers, press crews, and ambulances. Lions Gate witnessed a large attack against press crews, and in the al-Mujahideen road, between Lions Gate and Hutta Gate, the forces pushed the worshippers, leading to the injury of Hajj Abu Bakr Shaymiin the head.
The forces also attacked the worshipers with a sound bomb and batons at the Lions Gate - the gate of the old city - and chased them towards the Yusufiya cemetery road to keep them away from the place, and stormed the Bab al-Rahma cemetery and expelled the boys present there.
The Palestinians performed the noon prayer at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa, after being prevented from entering.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem stated that 13 arrests were carried out today from Al-Aqsa and its surroundings, of young men, boys and a woman.
Lawyer Al-Jabrini added that among the detainees were 5 from the family of the deceased, who were arrested during their participation in the funeral from the Lions Gate area, pointing out that their arrest prevented their participation in the funeral.
The settlers tried to blow the trumpet at the gates of Al-Aqsa, and managed to do so at the Al-Qattaneen Gate, while the young men confronted one of them when he tried to storm the Bab Al-Rahma cemetery with the trumpet.
