Shu’fat refugee camp –opening fire towards the soldiers at the Shu’fat camp checkpoint…Alert and tension
Late Saturday evening, the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrances to Shu’fat refugee camp completely, after shooting at the forces stationed at the checkpoint.
The occupation police announced that 3 soldiers were injured, while it said that the shooter fled the scene, announcing that it was conducting searches for the attacker.
The forces deployed in large numbers at the Shu’fat camp checkpoint, and closed all roads leading to it. The "Minister of Internal Security in the Occupation Government", the Commissioner-General of the Police and senior officers attended the site, and helicopters were launched in the sky of Jerusalem.
The forces stormed the entrances to the camp and fired rubber bullets and gas bombs extensively towards the camp buildings and those in the streets, while the youths responded by firing fireworks.
At the entrance of Anata - one of the entrances leading to Shu’fat refugee camp - the Musta’ribeen individuals (undercover unit/police disguised in civilian clothes) arrested 4 young men.
The forces also deployed in the streets near Shu’fat refugee camp, closing some of them, and stopping many vehicles and checking the identity cards of those inside.
Before midnight, the forces arrested 3 people from Shu’fat refugee camp, including a woman.
