Arrests and deportations from the Old City of Jerusalem
On Friday, the occupation police carried out separate arrests in the city of Jerusalem, especially at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem stated that the forces, after Friday prayers and in the evening hours, stopped the young men when they were leaving Al-Aqsa or while they were walking on the roads close to it. They checked their identity cards and took phots of young men, and released some of them, while others were turned to investigation.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem stated that the forces arrested Abdel Aziz Ma’tan, Jalal al-Asmar, Ala’ Ma’tan, and Haroun Ma’tan.
The forces also arrested a young man from Salah El-Din Street.
The young man, Faris al-Natsheh, and Imad al-Qawasmi, were also arrested.
Firas al-Jabrini, a lawyer for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that the police decided to release Haroun Ma’tan on the condition that he be deported from the Old City for two weeks and sign a financial guarantee.
