December 28, 2023

On the 83rd day of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation”, the Jerusalemite, Ahmed Adeeb Alayan Aweisat, 23 years old, was martyred, while the siege imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city continued.

Martyr of Jerusalem

On Thursday evening, the young man, Ahmed Alayan, was martyred after being shot at the “Mazmoria” checkpoint, which separates the cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

The occupation police said that the young man carried out a stabbing attack at the military checkpoint, which resulted in the injury of a female soldier and one of the checkpoint guards, and they were taken for treatment.

Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation forces closed the military checkpoint immediately after shooting the young man, and during that time they searched the young man while he was on the ground, then announced his death and detained his body.

The occupation forces stormed the family of the martyr Alayan in large numbers, after a siege on the place and preventing access to it, and they carried out a search and vandalism of the house.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the forces arrested the martyr’s parents, brother, and sister.

The siege of Al-Aqsa continues

For the third month in a row, the occupation authorities continue to impose their siege on Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing worshipers from entering it with the exception of the Islamic Endowment employees and a small number of elderly people and women, and subjecting them to inspection procedures and identity checks before allowing them to enter.

On the other hand, 174 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the morning and afternoon raids, guarded by the occupation police.

The raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued, and checkpoints were set up.

For the second year in a row, the occupation authorities renewed the “travel-ban” imposed on the freed prisoner Louay Nasser Al-Din.

The occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of Abdul Rahman Rukon, from the town of Silwan, until 31/1/2024.
