The Jerusalemite martyr Ibrahim al-Hindi... a released prisoner who spent nearly two years in the occupation's prisons
The young man, Ibrahim al-Hindi, 33, was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the Damascus Gate area of Jerusalem's Old City.
Al-Hindi was a former prisoner who had spent nearly two years in Israeli prisons at various times.
Following his martyrdom, Israeli intelligence summoned members of his family for interrogation before later releasing them.
The Israeli police stated that border guards shot the 33-year-old, a resident of East Jerusalem, claiming he attempted a stabbing attack, resulting in his immediate death.
The body of Ibrahim al-Hindi remains in the custody of the occupation authorities.
According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem, the occupation authorities are holding the bodies of 31 Jerusalemite martyrs (holders of Israeli identity cards) in morgues or in "cemeteries of numbers," the oldest of which dates back to October 2016. Among them are 10 children (under 18 years old), the youngest being 14-year-old Wadi' Alayan. They are:
